CROSSTIES COUNSELING MINISTRIES, INC.

CrossTies Counseling Ministries, Inc., is a Texas non-profit corporation chartered with the State of Texas on July 2, 1990. CrossTies was duly recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, and has sought to assist the Lutheran congregations in the greater Houston area particularly. 
CrossTies has officially adopted a Statement of Faith, a Mission Statement, and a Vision Statement to reflect that commitment to be an education and training resource for the Lutheran congregations in the area of spiritual and emotional wholeness and health. Everything that CrossTies offers is founded upon the recognition of the Holy Scriptures as the sole source and norm for all right teaching. Accordingly, a continual focus upon a proper division of Law and Gospel is maintained in all assistance provided by CrossTies. 
CrossTies further seeks to properly employ the best insights, knowledge and approaches of modern psychological studies as gifts from the Creator while always submitting to the sole authority of Scripture. CrossTies seeks to provide that assistance within the context of the Body of believers represented within the local congregation so as to help equip the local congregations to grow in spiritual and emotional maturity while providing support and care for all those souls God has placed within their fellowship. CrossTies recognizes a responsibility to provide assistance only as an extension of the Office of Public Ministry in the service of the Gospel. 
All the people involved in CrossTies seek only to provide mature, professional, and confessionally sound training, resource material, educational opportunities, and spiritual care to those local congregations served by men called by the Holy Spirit to the Office of Public Ministry and the local congregations created by our Lord Himself through the Gospel in their communities. We, the people of CrossTies, particularly focus upon the Beatitudes, Matthew 5:3-10, in defining and structuring all assistance provided to the congregations.
